Windshield Repair Philosophy

Maybe this is where I get confused- As long as the work is done well and billed to recieve payment- does it really matter where the check is from?
I call the insured's insurance company, complete the job to perfection, and send (or fax) the bill to the # the insureds insurance company gives me.
I don't know what letter you are refering to. Could you please let me know? I am fairly new to this and maybe not doing it right... Thanks, Me

In addition to my previous post- I don't look to the insurance companies for referrals- I just want to recieve payment for work I did and in the long run, if it gets me referrals that's good, if not I have other avenues to advertise ,not my major reason for dealing with them...Me

mepoozer,

I believe that gt was referring to the fact that if you are a member of a network(s) and you direct bill an insurance company that utilizes that network(s), your invoice would be handled/referred to that network and payment would be based upon their established rates and terms and not necessarily your invoiced amount.

In this whole chain no one has mentioned cash as the preffered payment "Mr customer just mail that receipt to your agent to get your $ back"

I personaly think that the reason no one has mentioned that fact is because it is much harder to sell a chip repair like that. For one reason if they already know that it is free, why would they pay you and then get reinbersment when if they just go down the street their is no out of pocket expense. Just my opinion, but for some that does work.

Hello- just my opinion on the cash deals-Not everyone has the insurance to cover repairs or replacements and there fore would be looking for a good deal to save the windshield as long as possible..
I would be happy to pay them cash for a job well done and get my windshield by for a little longer...There fore, I would hope some people would do that and pay me for a quality repair to save them money for a little while till the windshield is totaly beyond repair and to get them by until better times....Me
