American Kits Question
So I have a Delta Kits kit. I love it. I have looked into bringing new people on board and obviously the kits are not the cheapest at Delta so I purchased an American Kit. The pressure injection works a little different, and I am having a hard time getting resin into the chips. I am noticing if I put my D.K bridge on the chip, I get the chip to fill quickly. I'm sure It's prob operator error. Has anyone else used these cheaper kits and what are your experiences? I felt like experience should make up for the cheaper kit. They wouldn't be selling these things if they didnt work right?

Re: American Kits Question
Remember the " Gut Buster" sold by Suzanne Sommers?
Basically a spring with foot pegs for your feet and handles for your hands.
Did it work?
Surely they wouldnt sell them if they didn't work????

Re: American Kits Question
I know nothing of these kits...However, I've made many purchases trying to go on the cheap for products that DONT work. I once bought a survival shovel on ebay for 8 bucks to throw in the truck in case I get stuck in the snow. I get stuck in the snow. Feeling great about my purchase, I bust out the handy folding shovel to begin digging out. 2 scoops and it broke. Lesson learned: Anything involving the word survival is worth paying a premium for hahaha!
Also consider those "windshield repair kits" you can buy at the auto parts store for $17.99. Does it work? No. Are they selling it? Yes.
Good luck.

Re: American Kits Question
in my opinion stick using quality tools, in my research before I started my business I couldn't find anyone better than delta.
most importantly if you want your business to grow you have to offer the same level of quality to all your customers. It does cost money but it pays off in the long run, trust me I know because I sold my car to start my business hehe

To your issue...Are you having trouble getting their resin in or the Delta resin?
If you haven't tried it yet, give that a go?
Cheers,
Pommy

Re: American Kits Question
Hey Ministry, I have the American Rock Chip Kit system along with the Delta Kits system too and I can tell you that I personally can do a quality repair with both. The difference is that you are in control of the repair with the American system as with the Delta injector you set it up and it pretty much does the work for you. Just follow the instructions on the DVD that comes with the American system and you'll be fine. You can PM me if you want and I will give you my contact info and you can call me with any questions you may have. As for the American resin, I personally don't like it. I prefer the magnibond from Delta and also use the Diamond Clear resins form GT Glass.ministry4u wrote:So I have a Delta Kits kit. I love it. Re: American Kits Question
I don't know about the quality of theory specific tools vs. other brands that use the same type of simple injector. If it's machined correctly so the seals function well, it is absolutetly capable of doing good repairs in the right hands. Iuse different brand with different seals, but same design principle. I tried a couple different tools years ago but found that what I had already, was best for me.
Looks like they have cheaped out on the bridge though. That low profile suction cup assembly is not as nice as they used to have, which used the same brass suction cup thats used by other companies.
