I remove the windshield according to the CNM(Chuck Norris Method) I just roundhouse kick it out.
But seriously, I use my cold knife and a ginzu knife if I have enough room between the glass and dashboard, if not, I extract the bottom. There is no excuse for injuring yourself using these tools if you know what you are doing.

I usually use the old pull knife method just quicker in most cases then getting all the express stuff set up. NO wires here

As a follow up to my previous post: Glass bot is the only way to go. Period.
