2002 land rover discovery quarter window seal ?

Is this some type of seal made to the glass or an RTV application then the quarter glass set into it. Thanks for any help!

They're a separate part. You'll find them everywhere on E-Bay.

Therefore you' can treat the glass like an encapsulated glass and try to save it, or destroy it and replace it

The only correct response to this post is to get a professional.
RTV is not a permitted adhesive for auto glass installation. If you are not at least familiar with the basics you should not attempt to work on your own vehicle. It is possible that a QG not installed properly,with urethane, may come loose and hit another vehicle in traffic. Auto glass is not a do it yourself kind of thing.
