how to care for healdlight after a restoration
I have a question that I have not seen asked. After restoring a customer headlights, what are you telling the customer how they should care for their headlights? What is the best way to get longevity out of a restoration?

We tell customers for maximum longevity to hand wash rather than go through car washes and to apply a high quality wax or polish a couple of times a year. We know most customers will ignonre these recommendations but it would be the same advice I would give for brand new cars or.
We also tell customers not to touch the lenses or go through a car wash for 7 days so the coating has a chance to completely cure. Depending on the coating used this is overkill but I think it's best to exagerate the time necessary for a full cure. The longer a customer waits to "test" the coating the better.
