Headlight Repair
Thank you!!!!
Do any of you guys repair headlights as an extra service on top of WSR?
If so, what system/method/equipment do you use.?
Has anyone tried the Liquid Resins Headlight repair kit - is it good?
Thanks

I shouldn't say I DO repair headlights .. it's more like I HAVE repaired headlights. I did one the other day and all I did was put pit resin over it and it was a hot day so it hardened quick and it was fixed. I put a lifetime guarantee on it so if it ever falls out she can come back and I will redo it. it took me about 10 minutes and that was all drying time basically. The first coat of resin didn't cover it all the way so I had to put 2 coats on. I didn't scrape it smooth like I would a windshield because that would make it much less structurally sound so I left it as a blob. Which is much better than replacing a $300 headlight in this car. It came out as a clear blob maybe like pitch on the headlight.

Thats the same way I do it does not look any better than before but it stops water getting in. You can buy headlamp savers which are small piecse of glass which you glue over the damage and I have used them in the past but the method we have just spoken about is just as good.
P.S I have only repaired about 100 headlamps in all the years I have been in the business.

Larg Pits
I have done a few headlamp and tail lamp repairs. This is a part of my Glass Mechanix kit that rairly gets used
Most of the time it takes more time than I figure it is worth. I definitely would rather spend my time working on the windshields
