I continue to hand out chip-saver cards with company contact info. In order for this to work at all you'll need to ask the customer if you can put it in their insurance envelope which they would normally keep in glovebox. If you just hand them one.... quess where they'll end up 90% of the time? Right next to your business card!

Scrapper idea sounds ok but unfortunately the inexpensive ones always seem to break after 2-3 uses and often scuff the shield because of cheap hard plastic end.

If you use the chip-saver cards you might try also including $5 cash back coupons on the back for any referrals.

Another great idea this time of the year would be a nice fridge hanging calender. Also make sure you through in a free magnetic hook with it!

I use a lot of the chip protector cards, really romance it, something special!. I know they work as customers come back with one on a new chip.

Hadn't thought of suggesting to put it in the insurance envalope though...great idea.

A thought just came to me, how 'bout the small transperant stickers the car dealers and lube places to remind of next oil change date? Put it in the windshield next to service sticker as soon as job is complete?

I'm giving out calendars this year to my fleet accounts(muscle car calendars). I'm also dropping them off at dealer's where I've been trying to get business. Keep my name in front of those guys. A lot of times all you need is for some salesman to need a windshield fixed, not know who the regular vendor is and give you a call because he's got your card in his desk. I've gotten my foot into the door quite a few times this way. I think the calendars will work even better for this. They're not a bad investment either at $1.50-1.75 apiece.

I like the calender idea, if they hang it on the wall alot of people will have access to your business info.

Graybeard,

You know that idea with the windshield sticker sounds crazy at first but after further thought it just might work! Nobody ever bothers to pull these off the inside of their shield. I like that idea!!!
