I have several tools I use for shade/cool down. I use a small towel with suction cups attached to it. I also use an "inside the windshield sun blocker with suction cups attached and place it on the outside, reflective side out. I got two in one package from Costco. The suction cups I purchased at Wally mart and just crimped them on with pliers. Even though I do have an easy-up 10X10 I have not used it yet. When I put the inside sun blocker on the windshield it take a few to the Ws to cool so that is a good time to call the INS Co., like Coister does. As mentioned open the car and let the heat out so the pressure is off the WS. Sometimes I can just wrap a shop rag around my injector and that is all I need to block the UV if it is not too hot. The few times I have used a UV blocker shield it became so hot under it that I still had to block the whole thing with a towel to cool it, so now it stays in the tool box. Have thought of purchasing the LR umbrella but have not yet.

CPR,
That's a nice umbrella. But if you're driving around, will the cops pull you over and will the umbrella slows your truck down?

Na, just helps me stay away from speeding tickets. I also saw a hitch mounter load extender from Harbour Freight for 20 bucks that could easily be modified to hold the umbrella and the cooler.

Last week I made a Windshield Umbrella. I used an Aegis windshield bridge ( LARGE Suction Cup w/vacuum pump )from a kit I bought off Ebay.
Bought an PVC 1/2 male by 1 inch female adaptor into which I stuffed a $3 Umbrella handle.
Only use I'ver had for the kit?:~)
I've wondered what damage it might do to the paint & metal if I placed it onto the roof or hood,......
I think it might be more for my benefit than the glass!!
