Like many others, I never use both dry out solution and heat. I have used dry out solutions from LR and GM and have not seen ill efects from either. Not sure about LR, but GM's dry out solution does not have an acetone or alcohol base.

Mike,

When you state that you've never seen any ill effects from using dryout solutions can you really back that up? Have you ever seen the results after longer periods? I've tried a few in the past on my practice shield and wasn't happy with long term results. When I say long term.... I mean 6-12 months later. If these solutions work so well, I guess my next question would be why doesn't Delta Kits or some of the other big suppliers offer them? Is it possible they may have tested them and also were not happy with long term results? Maybe Jeff or somebody else has a answer to this debate.

Because we feel they do NOT work well. I've said until i'm blue in the face how dryout solution is about the worst thing you can put in a break.

The people that believe me, won't put it in their breaks, the people that don't, well, I guess just keep doing it!
