Beautiful,
Know you are breaking the law, and try to make it part of your business plan!
Very ethical!
I report every gypsy location I see to the local license office- I pay, you better pay-they are gone in a day or two.

Bill, you have an attitude problem. However you are inconsequential to me so I will not take it personally.

The key to this is effective "signage." Signs work when they are used correctly. The limit on signs though are codes and zoning. If you can find something that falls within the limits, which can be tricky, it will work. Here the code office doesn't even know there own job so they are running around in a continuous witch hunt at the beck and call of whining people in the community- business owners and the regular joe public. Some people are allowed to get away with anything, others are harrassed for breathing!

I haven't found a place yet that doesn't allow handheld signage. Have you had a problem with that yet in your town?

No, not yet. There is code here prohibiting all portable structures and auto repair service not performed in a shop location with bay doors. It gets very messy and basically pertains to "permanent locations." Go ahead and define it any way you want, the city sure does at their convenience. Mobile service is safe being mobile! Don't hang around anywhere too long. I have had great results with a hand held sign to drum up quick work and then move on. You know what I mean. A permanent location where someone is always hanging around showing a sign off will eventually bring harrassment, here. Every place is different.
