Seriosly franchising has it's good points as well as it,s bad points. Some franchises are too expensive for what you get, as Screenman sais Opti kleer does well, and there prices are reasonable. A franchise helps out in the begining more than once the business is well established. In the begining it starts the franchisee off with a recognized name and product, a structured business, and a proven marketing program( a definate help to those who are "sales challenged". What one has to be carefull of is franchisors that charge a large percentage, a high initial investment, and won't give out references, or financial records. A good franchiser will be a boost at first, provide continual support and motivation, help when help is needed, congratulate when praise is due, keep you on track, and provide an out should you no longer want to be in the business(franchises generaly have a better resale value than stand alone companies). For WSR franchising is an option but not a requirement, done right it can be good, done wrong it can leave a bad impression for everyone. Luckely in the US you have good franchise laws that are there to protect all involved, assuming the franchisor follows said laws. If you are looking at a franchise do your homework, get the help from a legal professional to review the contract, and if you decide to move forward, put your energy to good use an succeed.
I sell WSR franchises here in Quebec, with good results, my techs are happy the customers are happy and we have a good rep in the industry. For reference purposes I sell them for $9800, Canadian, and that includes all the required equipment(ws repair and scratch removal), 10 days training(2 in class, 8 in the field in the franchisee's territory), invoices, business cards, shirts, marketing materials, a protected territory(no one will have the same equipment or resins in that area),contract, and support, There franchise fee's are based on there resin purchases(less than $100 per month). We are now up to 7(including me) and should reach 10 by the end of 2005.
Merci

Greetings Jeff,
Hey Jeff H thanks alot for the update, I really needed to know. I used to buy the rubber-injector boots from them, are Delta's the same or better? We use the old plastic "Novus" style of injectors. What say you?

A1,
I believe we do carry those injector boots, although our injector doesn't use them.
When Optikleer went out of business, we sold quite a few to their customers. Pretty sure we still have some left, but i'll have to check on Monday.

If Jeff cannot help you try esprit the use the same type of seals as Novus.

with Esprit you may have to get their injectors. I used to use old Novus style, the seals from esprit were too long. Their injectors are inexpensive (around $7) and work excellent. Much better than any of that style injector I have tried.
