I guess it's good that this is not a national scale "problem" since nobody else is seeing the trend. Really I'm wondering what the future has in store.

About 25% of the dealers in the metro area here gone in house, at least to some degree. Will that percentage continue to increase? Or has it just been a fad here, and it will never get any worse?

A dealer here and there is expected. I just don't want this to continue to grow and end up with the majority of dealers being in house. Obviously that would not be good for those of use who have built a business with dealers.
