Just have the guys park the firetruck on a steep hill so the w/s is no longer "vertical". ;)

I also use Delta equipment, and what I find helpful on vertical glass (or any other glass for that matter) is using a syringe (with a blunt needle) to apply the resin directly to the glass by inserting the syringe down the throat of the injector. The same can be accomplished with they eye-dropper, - just make sure your resin applicator goes all they way to the glass before you apply resin.

Don't just squeeze resin into the injector as the resin may cling to the threads inside the injector. Deliver the resin directly to the glass then insert the piston as usual.

Hope this helps.

Clearview.

Dry out should have been a very important if not most important part of your training and practise. I see far to many people go out to their first customer unprepared and it blows any confidence they might have. This happens in all aspects of smart repairs not just WSR. People on this forum have mocked me when I say do 100 practise repairs and make them all wet before you start, but the reason I say this is you will have prepared yourself far better and will have that added confindence you are lacking.
An top athlete would not win without years of practise we do no need that amount, but if you are slightly nervous about any type of repair you have not done enough preparation.
We should all practise our weakest points the most.
Go out and tell them they should not have washed it or got it wet. they should have used chip savers, they should have called you earlier. Tell them everything is their fault should the job not come out properly. This takes a little pressure off you.
Remember this undersell and over deliver everytime without fail.

I have done many vertical repairs with great results. Be sure to position your bridge so when it is removed the resin runs away from your bridge cup. (If possible) I have been using the GM bridge and injectors, and am making the switch to Delta due to a design flaw in the GM models. It works fine, but Delta has nailed it right on the head with their bridges and injector system. Anyone have any great tips on attracting some good business?

Anyone have any good feedback on the various resins out there. What seems to be the leader in the resin arena?

What I am doing to relieve start up jitters and build some confidence is doing repairs for buddies as practice forfree if they come too me but if I bust it out or delaminate i am not liable because I told them first and sometimes they are happy that you are just attempting repair because they think they have no choice but to replace it anyway.the pblic just does not know about the repair option here. Yes the free stuff will stop as soon as I am ready for bussiness and completly competant and confident.Although my wife disagrees with this approach.

Do not give it away, your wife is 100% right. Get a couple of practise screens and bang holes in them, do 15 a day for 10 days and then get out and charge. The only reason you are not charging is you do not have enough confidence more parctise will give you this. Lets those guys wait 2 weeks and charge them or the ins.co. for your expertise.

I have never done a free repair for anyone no matter how big a customer make them pay. By doing freebies you are not only depriving your wife of some good spending money but stopping the rest of us from getting those jobs.

Remember practise glass, practise then charge. what are you waiting for. Do it now no excuses.

Please show this post to your wife and hopefully she will push you a bit harder than you are pushing yourself.

Good luck
