Maybe I'm too honest. I tell customers that I like to allow 30 minutes but that it may take less time (after sizing up the break). I know I loose jobs this way but I'd rather not have an impatient customer pacing around the car while I'm working. Many drive up with groceries, young kids, older parents, etc. If the customer doesn't have the time I try to make an appointment at their home (no additional charge) for later in the day or after-hours. Most times they appreciate the "special" attention.

Bois that is what I was planning on doing because I also figured many would not have the time to wait. I figured I could repair it for them after hours or weekend.
