Please explain how using a match works for you!

My apologies for misinterpreting your post. I have never used a match either!

To be perfectly honest with everybody, these days 90% of the repairs I provide are always accomplished from outside of vehicle, the remaining 10% normally only involve long cracks.

I guess some still utilize this method. For what reasons...I'm not really sure!

the reason is simple to try to open the leg on a stuborn star sure makes sence to try something rather than adding another break to the glass because you too lazy or too rushed too try the other options first I have never poped a bull and never will. flex or heat or time or a combo of all three will do the job. How often do I heat things up? maybe once a month if that but that doesnt mean you shouldnt use it once in awhile some of the lazier guys dril and pop just about evry break when you get some body work done do you go to the guy that works in his back yard or the pro shop? the backyard guy cuts alot of corners and sometimes the work looks good I pick the guy who does the job right and takes his time but thats just me
