Gross is for vanity.
Net for sanity.

Well then, my sanity is about 68% of my vanity!
Uncle Sam steals part of my vanity and expenses eat some too, but in order to become more sane I work hard to become more vane!

Glass repair will never make me a millionaire but in terms of enjoyment and contentment its returns are priceless.

I know that for a lot of you, wsr is a part time job or it supplements your other source of income. I'm sure that for some, it's more like a hobby that puts a little cash in your pocket.
But for me, it's a full time job. My only job. That's why it's 7:00 am on Saturday morning and I'm on my way out the door with a full schedule of jobs to do. But to me, it's worth it!

some places I get just the WR and plastic others just paint and about half everthing
my charges are $35 per car WR
I do very little retail anymore so all are dealerships and ver seldom am I at a stop for more than 3 hrs

As for the hours I choose to work, it depends on how busy I am and how much travel time is required. Some days I'm done in 6-8 hours but others might push 10-12. Plus, being the only one in the area that is open for business on Saturdays has benefited my income, as well. I group up my repairs, based on location, by the day of the week to save on travel expense. I see the key to being successful in this business as this.......business builds business...the more jobs you do....the more customers you satisfy......the more business your future holds, through repeat customers and word of mouth referals from those customers.
Well, you might have been the only one open for buisiness on saturday. :eusa_wall, you do know this is an open forum? :eusa_sile

No doubt I'm the only one open for business on Saturdays in my area! And that sure pays off!
As for your comment about this being an open forum...well call me stupid but your remark doesn't make sense.

Well, tell you the truth, I just started this WSR very recently.. made bunch of fliers and taped it to door to doors.. its about 20% that will call for insurance.. Most of it just " Go Cold Calling" I learn that from Coitster's post on this forum.. and that all cash money.. I hate cold calling, I'm not much of a saleman.. but it works and pay my bills..I'm doing this business part-time.. I have a full time job working for someone else.. I'm planning to quit very soon and start WSR full time..
I just want to say Thanks to my friends,
Sneck and Coitster for helping me starting this business.. And many Thanks to Delta Kit for their Resin( Premium Bond Resin) and their great services.. They have the Best Resins on the Market!!

I think Glasseye said it the best. I don't expect to become a millianaire but this business is the greatest. Small price start up and if your a go getter you can make money quick. For me it was slow but rolling nice now.
1. 2-7
2. $45.00
3. Should be around $40K this year.
4. 98%
5. 5 years, part time for 4
6. Do very few fleet and car lot ( Dealers are cheap and loyal to there tech of ten years

I am confident this income will continue to grow as long as I keep doing great repairs and am friendly and speedy with customers. They love my promptness. Some days I work 5 hours and some I work 10 but usually ends about 35 hours. I am so happy to be involved in windshield repair that I don't mind going out of my way and doing a last minute repair for someone. I have also been getting repeat customers from keeping them so happy. So basically if you love it and only make a small amount a year thats still better than most people having to work a job they hate to get the toys they want. I would rather be very happy and go without the extras. They will come with time if you do good work and make people happy.
