I use Quick books because that is what my accountent uses. I just give him a flash drive and he works the books for me.

Yes, i'm still alive! No - it doesn't work on smartphones, I guess because I'm not THAT smart. :)

sneck, with your programing knowledge and skills, what's a smart guy like you doing bent over a car windshield?
It's hard to leave a good thing.

I'm also curious about Pro-View's original question... What other brand-name software is out there that people are using in this business?

I have never tried Quick Books myself, my dad found it to be too complicated for him to use.

Sneck,

Don't mind waiting at all and I agree, Q-books is a little more of a learning curve to use at its full potential.

GT Repair,

I just went through this same situation with my accountant and quick books will convert quicken files and maybe others in case you or anyone else were considering switching to or using quicken.

If anyone is interested, you can download a free copy of quickbooks simple start, which is the most basic version they have to get a feel for it. It is VERY basic, but allows the most common uses. With the option to upgrade later. We are using that at the moment determining if we would like the added features of the pro versions. I use quicken for my personal finances, may look at that for business finances as well. Here is the link
