OK, we finally got in an ample supply of slide hammers, and the first ones were sold today before we had a chance to open the boxes.
The photo is not great, but I ran out of time today. We'll have better photos soon, and professional photos within a month or two.
The price is $20 and as I mentioned before the slide hammer can also be used as a probe.

Brent,
What size drill bit is recommended for this probe? Looks great and if it works as good as you previously stated, at the low price of $20 it's definitely worth trying.

We recommend the FG701 with a hole size of .047

Brent just sent me some of the new slide hammers and I used one on restructuring a couple chips today. They work great and I have to say they are much better looking that the ones I have made. Really a great and successful effort by Brent and the crew at Delta.
If the end is a little too sharp and gives you a star instead of a bullseye, just blunt it by holding it against a stone or filing or maybe sliding it vertically back and forth against a knife sharpening hone.
It looks very professional, should impress some of your clients and maybe a tech or two that hasn't been on the Delta site and read about it.
Maybe I should change my name to Hammer Man??
The last day or so I've had to wrap my head to keep it from swelling too much from all the accolades I'm getting here!

How can we purchase one of these tools to start seeing for ourslves. Is Delta going to have them on their website or is Nomad going to be selling them?
Please let us know ASAP. I am interesting in buying one or two!

I'm afraid that for the time being you will have to call us to place an order for a slide hammer. We have them in the system now, but it will probably be awhile before we have them on the website.

I hope that nomad was compensated nicely for his invention? I once made the mistake of letting an idea get into the wrong hands and received nothing.

I used this slide hammer at the training last weekend. Definitely worth the $20. Will be purchasing a few shortly.
