Why worry about what others may see.You have a quality product and system.I think it should be left up as a training aid.Anyone seeing it on this forum knows the scoop anyways.I also want to see what Screenman says.

I like the way everyone puts screenman on a pedestal of being the repair God.

He is not any better than the rest of us, just more out spoken with his points good or bad.... If you think the video is bad then you have a thought also.. You do not need screenman to tell you. You have a brain with thought matters, use it.

Most or hopefully all of us know that you do not make a chip bigger to make it better.... If you can not repair the damage that was made with what you have, close your doors or get trained....

I would definately say the guy is far more concerned with doing quick repairs rather than good repairs. I would also say that yes I have used this method when and only when I have started a fill only then to find that I did not inspect properly and that there is a disconnected leg, I prefer doing this than trying to drill into wet resin. It is definately not needed on every repair but hey we have firms over here training guys to drill to the PVB and down the middle of bullseyes, so it may not be all his fault, there is I feel far more poor quality training available than there is good quality.

Well I just watched the video and it certainly goes against the method I use on all standard repairs. For all Delta Kits users, your system can and will do exceptional repairs without drilling 98% of the time when used correctly. The only time I drill is 2% when it is absolutely necessary to completely fill the damage for a structural repair(Ex.disconnected leg, end of a crack) which is our primary objective.

When truly needed, do I think this technique is wrong? No; but I do think his logic and purpose for drilling is skewed and although I think it is wrong it is his show.

I honestly think that there are many technicians out there that drill no matter what for the purpose of speed over quality. For me, a lttle patience will do wonders if your more quality minded.
