Re: Need help with longer cracks

From a sales standpoint... I have only done 2 or 3 thousand chip repairs, so I am still new to it and learning and improving. I believe in under-selling and over-performing. Because of this, when a client asks me to repair an 8-inch crack I explain that, "I have about a 99.5% sucess rate on basic chips, but sometimes as many as 50% of long cracks continue running at some point." I explain that "It does make sense to pay me $60 to repair a crack if their insurance deductible is only $100... but if they are not insured and have an $1800 Land Rover windshield, perhaps gambling on me is a worth it." in truth, most of these folks tell me a year later that my repair is still holding well... they are thrilled. (My real sucess rate on long repairs is probably more like 75% ... but I bet many of the senior members on here have much closer to 100%!
