Can I say that if you do not do cracks then you should certainly practise hard and the start to do them, otherwise you are leaving good money on the table, also if you if you do any fleet work you are leaving the door open for your comptetion. Cracks are easy, we train cracks up to 6 inches long on the second day of our training course and most techs get on well with it.
The other thing to remember is. No Mr customer I cannot tell you if your chip will definately get larger if we leave it, but I can tell you most long cracks started off as a small chip.
Althoug the Aircon might have effected this particualr damage in tests we have carried out it is more often heat that will make a crack run and not cold. This is why we roccomend when doing dry out you keep the heated area as small as possible and if a run occurs, it may suprise you but it will stop as soon as it hits cold glass or very shortly afterwards.
