I have had plenty of customers that are very curious but not to the extent that you are referring too. For me I really do not mind engauging in conversation with my customers as you never know what they do or who they know that could help you out. Sometimes I get customers that are very, very interested about the business oportunity and that is were I draw the line so to speak. I certainly will not shoot myself in the foot.

If I had customers that were physically impeading my ability to workI would have to politely advise them they are more than welcome to watch but while the vehicle is in your care custody and control they must remain at a safe distance(you decide that) for insurance purposes.

It would be under the heading of"people skills".Some are just not comfortable in a selling situation which the repair business is a big part of.I would recommend anyone that is uncomfortable around your customer to maybe read some good sales books.It might just give you an insight into handling a customer.JMO
