scrubs147,

As WSR can be some what tedious it can be mastered. However I like to think that no matter how many years or knowledge I have under my belt Ill always be in training! Take a look at screenmans qoute it says alot!

First I would just take my time, dont be in a rush. Honestly through You Tube Delta Videos and the training video I received with my kit from Delta is how I Tweeked my craft! Honestly speaking.

I do want to comment on something you said.
You said that when you place the bridge onto the glass and then apply the resin into the injector it just seeps right back out. This is caused due to the "Seal" at the end of the injector which makes contact with the WS should be flush to the glass. Do this.

Set up your bridge above the repair (making sure the suction cup isnt in line under the void) Press the TLAP until the suction process is secure. Turn the injector until it comes in contact with the glass, STOP!

Take your centering tool if you have one(I reccomend it) insert it into the injector, unlock the swing nut and find center of the void. Lock the swing nut, remove the centering tool. Turn the injecor shaft 1/4 turn more! Now turn the back legs of the bridge which those are called Rear Leveling Screws. Make sure the bridge is level!

When you put in your 7 or so drops of resin now you shouldnt have any leaking. If I have a small amount I will turn it slightly until it stops!

You have alot to learn but with the right patience & persiverance you will succeed!

I too will be attending the Clearwater Fl, Training in January! I look forward to meeting you then!

Good Look! I am convinced you will make a Outstanding WSR Technician!

You are doing the right thing! ASK LOTS OF QUESTIONS!!!!

WOW... lots of great in and a very nice forum. Right now I am going to be picking up a windshield from a junk yard and practice on that and I think I just may look into that airline ticket. Thanks again.

Iam getting better at the WSR: I was trying to over complicate it or be too perfect. I compared the cost to florida and the cost of the tng and I found it cheaper to fly to Oregon now while the tng is free, and less wait time. The headlight Restoration is a great money maker and required very little practice. I have the scratch removal items but I haven't done one for a customer yet. I did discover that I needed more tools in my kit for the WSR. I buy a few things each month. Such as the moisture evaporator, Star breaker, hook tool, a head LED lamp, Thermometer, hood protector etc... These are things I feel are important. I know Brent states on here some need more while others use less to do WSR. I will have earned enough by December to recoup all my expenses for everything I've purchased, plus trip to Oregon. Setting the business up as well. Insurance, Merchant license, Credit card system with Innovative Solution, Phone, Yellow Pages, Business cards, Flyers, Chamber Of Commerce Dues, NWRA dues, Supplies, Uniforms, Vehicle lettering etc... To have all the above paid since starting in june of this year is great. Not too many business ventures will return an investment that quick plus training. I see lots of potential working with Delta Kits. You will too when you see the money start to come in. I will be happy once I go to Eugene and finish their Training. I learn a lot from the forum and reading comments from pro's like Frank, and new people like Chad Clewis. I see my errors or mis-steps, then I go back and practice what I read from the posts. I spend hours reading the forum at night. I too found myself looking at too much you tube and trying to compare or apply everything I saw. I was in VA Beach, Va yesterday and I saw a Safelite Technician repair a WS near one of my relatives home. They use this large suction device that injects a resin. It looked very impressive at first and high Tech. The end result was no better than what I've been doing with the Delta system. I though I was doing things all wrong and discovered I was ok. I do need more practice with a little guidance just for my own peace of mind. I dont have the long cracks down at all. It seems like a lot of us will be learning this together. By sharing our ups and downs on this forum we all will learn while avoiding some of the major mistakes. I don't feel like Iam alone in this venture when I read the forum and discover others with the same problems or views. Have a nice day!
