I think that bit of weather was a blip, we have just had 10 days of rain. You only have to be registered and charge VAT when your turnover is above £70,000 ( note turnover not profit) So I fall into the sector that has to charge VAT. Now this is not a problem if your customer is VAT registered as they claim it back, however to a private customer this does increase their charge. VAT going up in January to 20% so you can see that will hurt the retail sector slightly, I would say if private is your target sector then best to stay out of VAT, maybe only work 4 days a week instead of 5.

Diesel is getting more and more popular I have been driving diesel for over 20 years and currently use a VW Passat B6 Estate for work, nice vehicle lots of grunt and 50mpg and 128 mph not bad.

Peter, Lincoln is about 2 hours from the broads, nice place but a bit too busy for me.

I do not use a tent, I have made sure over the years that I have a customer base that can get me inside.

I also do PDR, along with training of both PDR and WSR, I have in the past done all the aspects of smart repair, including painting, however I feel that WSR and PDR is by far the most profitable for time spend. I like to work clever and not too hard.
