With all due respect to Chad, you have to remember he previously operated a full auto reconditioning shop. Why does that make a difference? Simply because they are used to buffing and polishing cars for 2 hours or more. I basically came from the same stock as Chad has and personally operated the same. Yes, you can make money at glass scratch removal with auto but you have to be very selective. If it's deeper than 1 thousands of a inch on tempered side or back glass it will take you forever to fix, especially when only using cerium oxide. ISP does have a great system and product to use but without proper training and a signed usage contract, forget it. There are dry cutting disk available today for glass that will cut quickly into glass but will also require some training. Some manufacture companies brag about no distortion but the truth is your always removing glass stock to get the scratch out and the only way to avoid distortion is to blend it in working a larger area. I've been there and have done it but it's not as easy as repairing a chip or two! My personal advice is to spend all that time wasted in doing scratch removal into sales of windshield repair. Much easier!
