If your signed up with Lynx for Allstate you can find out what your Tier status is through Metryx. Tier 1 shops will always have priority in your area unless none are available. In that case CSR will look for a tier 2 shop for service.

I'm also curious as this being your brothers vehicle, why didn't you just call in the claim and grab the job? You can't be refused if customer request your services.

I always thought your tier level was set by area, according to population and volume of business, and there would not be more than one tier level in the same area and the tier level is for pricing only. Can someone show us in print how the tiers really work?

UPDATE: My brother wasn't home when they fixed his WS. When he saw the center repair he was not pleased and the fact he still had one break not repaired. he called his ins company local rep , then took his vehicle to him to see the repair . They told him it would be replaced at no cost to him. He thinks he is getting it free. I've got one of those brothers that is sort of hard-headed. He thinks even after reading one of my NWRA pamplets, that a repair should never be seen and should be like new because thats what someone else told him at Allstate locally. They were sending, You know who, back to replace the WS later this week. Iam glad I didnt do his repair.

This article may help you better understand how to qualify as a Tier 1 vendor.

Thanks for that information. If Iam reading this correctly, Its based on 60 repairs for allstate within 180 days, for a tier one status. I guess I will be a tier 2 for a long time at that rate.
