I'll ask again just in case you misunderstood my question. What kind of polish do you use that gives you a year of protection?

I will have to get an approval from the manufacture before I say that, it seems that other products are not allowed to be mentioned in this forum...

Hmmmm.....

I hardly use my UV coating..only when I think it is necessary.,btw you did not answer my question...

I use Delta Kits products.

If you've been reading this forum you know that is not true. Other products are mentioned all the time. Promoting a product on this forum however is not allowed and posts promoting a product under false pretenses are removed. Okay, Brent has cleared you for telling us which polish you use that gives you a full year (see above).

There are so many products out there that claim miracles but do almost nothing. Seems that everything is over-hyped so I take every new wizz-bang product with a grain of salt. Especially stuff like car waxes, polishes, etc. How many times have we been sold a new wonderwax or supersealant that will last a year or more or survive 1000 washes and still bead water? Would be nice if it was true but we all know it's BS.

Doesn't stop me from trying a new thing or two though, just in case! In fact, I tried one of the new nano coatings last summer, both on headlights and one of my cars (paint) and it's so-so for both. I think it's a good extra layer of protection for the paint, for sure. But it doesn't bead water after 6 months... even though there are testers out there claiming 18 months and counting. For headlights? Jury is still out, but I wasn't impressed with my test cars. Looked good for a short time, then seemed to fade as any other wax/polish. Might find better results with different application techniques, etc... but to me it was a failed experiment and just another case of snake oil. I've given up on the wipe on poly thing too, btw. Doesn't last long enough, and is too soft,... to be sold as a professional service imo. I'm curious about the new Infinity. It's about the only thing I've never tried on headlights.

Back on topic... I agree on the airbrush. It's better to have a fan spray pattern, so you want a mini hvlp instead. I also have a 1.0mm hvlp, but it's not a SATA... just a cheap knock off. lol
