What is your "walkin" price that get's their attention. 4 repairs a day is great!

Im finding every day is different. When I walk into a business, I approach the receptionist and tell her my name and the name of my company. I say my company repairs windshields just like the company from those commercials you see on tv. I explain that most repairs are free to them because their insurance company wants them to get the chip fixed before the windshield cracksout etc etc etc. I then tell them there are some insurance companies like AAA, State Farm, and Mercury who dont participate in waiving deductibles for WSR. If they have one of those ins co's, I tell them I can do a "cash repair" for $45 which is substantially less than what the big company from TV would charge. Sometimes I drop the price to $35 if the person and their car look like they really won't care if there's a chip.

MANY MANY MANY times, people tell me "Oh that chip has been there for years" or "I like my chips"...I then say, "Ok, well I hope I don't jinx you hahaha! Enjoy your chips but call me if you ever change your mind. Have a good day"

This job is not easy 95% of the time..but once in a while you will pick up 2 or 3 or 4 repairs back to back at the same location....and as long as you do quality work, those people make your day because they are happy you saved them time and money.

Needless to say, I am still trying....hope that helps.
