I cncl my milwalkee drill order. The supplier stated it had not shipped due to back order. So I ordered the Makiti & evrything I needed from another supplier. It should be here by 5 Oct. I have several challenging headlights backed up waiting. Infiniti 4.1 is still the prefered choice for UV after removing the old coating. I need to reorder this week. I have enough for 3 or 4 vehilces. Iam using the remainder of my C2P on fleet accounts or heavy pited lenses. I will post my findngss as soon as I do a few.

I got my Makita, and so far just used it with compound. I don't have the sanding discs yet so not much to report on. On that chore, it works wonderful. Much better that the Milwaukee that I posted about before. If I like the Makita on the hwol sanding process, I'm taking the Milwaukee back. Ill also have to return two orbitals that I bought.

Good news ;)

What pad did you use with the compound?

Cheers,

Pommy

PS - you can take those tools back?

Ive used two. The 3M black polishing pad and the yellow one on this page

http://www.buffandshine.com/foam-pads-c ... -l-en.html - I get them locally.

Not impressed by the 3M pad. For the price, it didn't last very long. All the auto body supply shops around here have the Buff and Shine brand.

Im always looking for something better.

Take what back, the drill?? Hell ya! I haven't opened two random orbitals (supposed to be for a new tech that Im about to hire) so Ill ship them back and the Milwaukee drill Ive used will suddenly become defective and go back to the store. ;)
