Scratch removal sucks

StarQ, man that green disk is like a belt sander! :shock:

Have you had trouble getting 100% of the "sanding" marks polished out? I have CRL's version of the GT system... same Trizact disks.. just different sizes. Anyway, I found that it's very difficult to end up with a crystal clear, like new glass.

Even when I thought all was looking good, you can find a "holographic swirl" when viewed from certain angles, or just some very fine hard to see "scratches". You have to look close, but they were there.

Sounds like you have it working pretty quick and easy.

Also, have you tried using just the orange 5micron disks? Seems that they are not effective at all unless you use the 10micron disk first. Wondered if anyone else tried to use the #5 as a first step?

I would like to do that, if it would work, and then follow with a polishing step. Perhaps even use the glasweld stuff as a second step.
