I agree, when I had my website, it may have added 2-3% to my bottom line. Consequently I no longer pay for the website and ad placement because it was costing me money not making money!!
This was only my experience....you may great success with your website!!

Thanks for the advice guys. I just feel like everything is online right now and retail customers alot of times need that to be there to get some comfort. You guys have been doing this for a lot of years and have your fleet accounts locked down. I've been calling and stoping by at a few around my area and the common response is "no thanks I have a guy who we've been using for 20 years" I say that's impressive and still give them my card and we talk about few other things so if something happens they have my info. Website really is to show that the business is somewhat legit for retail customers fleet customers could care less.

Learn to sell and cold call the small industrial parks. Instant result and the folks there will become your long term fleet customers.

Selling and cold calling are not an issue it's finding the correct prospects to contact. I like the industrial Park idea. I have a meeting next week with a large church about doing repairs doing service and donating 20% back to them. There's still a few details to iron out . has anyone tried anything like that? Just trying to think outside the box.

That is a large chunk back, would it be tax deductible?

I've had a web site for more than 4 years . I pay more than it generates. I am seriously considering stopping it. I have more people googling me when they are searching for a repair shop. The money spent , could be used for FB or Google ads or positioning. Even that is marginal. Word of mouth, referals, and canvassing is still the best method.
