got another question about curing under pressure. when you do this do you actually put your curing light on top of the bridge?

one more question, can you cure from behind the windshield? I tried that yesterday and it didnt seem like it was doing it. I had to because it was a motor home and the light would reach all the way out to the chip from the inside plug.

Well, that actually depends on your equipment. Some bridge/light combos won't wrok very well because of the size/shape issue. Some lights let you get the bulb close to the injector, right beside it.

I like this style light and it's great for pressure curing because the bulb can be positioned pretty close to the repair and it has a strong UV output... http://www.deltakits.com/dki-catalog/40-14.html

Glasweld has a special round light for their funky equipment that's great if you use it...

Good ol sunshine works fine too if the weather cooperates.

I have the delta one thats a box. I was thinking balancing it on the injector at an angle since if I put the cups on the glass the light wont really go out to the sides. so that is how your guys pressure cure? how long does it take for that inside resin to cure?

I'm not sure how close that will get the bulb to the break... maybe 3-4 inches? Not ideal, but it's the best you can do and it will work. I would guess a minimum of 2 minutes to get enough "pre-cure"...

Maybe Jeff could suggest how long.... I don't use that light...

Curing from inside is like wizzin on a forest fire the glass and laminate will absorb most of the UV ever wonder why you dont get sunburnt riding around in your car? Hardly any UV gets thought thats why! As a side note I wizzed on an electric fence once wouldnt sujest that either OWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!
