Maybe I don't understand. If you make the call to the network to get the authorization #. Deal with the steering, pirating, ignorant csr's on the phone. You have done all of the work for A.C.T.. Yet you still pay them 7.50 per repair you perform. At best it seems to me you coming out even with a Lynx repair. I assume Lynx doesn't charge A.C.T. 7.50 for invoice processing. Safelite allows you to enter invoices through their website which saves you their processing fee. On their repairs you are losing 7.50 per repair. Entering an invoice through their website takes about ten seconds. Writing up an envelope for the other repairs takes about the same amount of time. If you carry some envelopes with you, you can write them up when you fill out your invoice. As for following accounts receivable to be sure you are getting paid, aren't you checking on A.C.T. to make sure they pay you.

Thanks, I think we will give it a try. As long as there is not too much hassel from the insurance company I think that is great. One thig I was thinking about though. Over the last several years, I have brought my vehicles to the local glass shops to get a repair or replacement. I gave the glass shop person my information, signed the ticket, and my windshield was repaired or replaced. Never had to speak with an insurance rep. They took care of all of that. Just curious how they were able to skip the step of having the customer of speaking with the insurance company.

truthfully I usually just call ACT its worth $14.95 to never talk to a insurance weinie

but do ocasionaly use the $7.95 option depending on how busy i am I dont like to work more than 4 hrs a day and always have a daily total goal if its getting late in the day and am still a ways away from my goal I will add 7.95 to my total by calling the auth # But being an old surfer who grew up on the beaches of California I dont stress much. Lifes to short to give a SH*t about money

If this is too personnal a question, I certainly understand.

I agree its alot between $400&$600 but for me its worth that much to have the extra time and eliminate all the headaches we work in a buisness with little overhead the average buisness must have costs in excess of 20% most operate closer to a 20% profit margin after all the bills are paid so yea I could do it for less but dont want to spend the time and energy to do so and a 80+ % profit is much higher than the national average for a buisness. I guess you have to look at the grand sceme I worked in the Car sales buisness for 20+ yrs often the car cost 70k and we sold it for 71K so 80%profit looks good to me. and it gives me more time to spend with my15 yr old son or work in the studio on my art. Believe me after loseing my 17 yr old son in september my prioritys have changed! Anything that only cost a little and gives me extra time is worth it to me.
