I've never used a heat exchanger. Probably never will. With so many easy alternatives I see no point in having one.
Clearquest, so you are discounting something without trying it, I find that odd. I can claim that I bought the idea of the heatsink into WSR and believe me I tried many things, none worked as well or looked as professional as what Delta sells now.
For less than 1/2 the price of a repair it seems a great value tool too have in the kit.
I would also shout that if anybody is not using any sort of heatsink then they are certainly not doing the job as fast or as well as they could do.
