The shield on my winter beater(1,300,000 KMS) is the original, and on the passenger side there are over 40 repairs(39 self induced bulls-eyes and combo's, and 1 created by my favorite bulls eye maker, the gravel truck). I use it to do demo's when a dealer has no worthy candidates. It impresses the heck out of a dealer when you have the assurance to break your own WS, and even more when he has trouble finding the repaired area after the repair. It is also a good test for pit filler resins and polishes. I should be painting the car this summer, and as is my tradition when painting a car i remove all that is not to be painted(glass, mouldings, lights, interior, engine, ect) I hate taping with a passion, and detest hidden rust even more. I may reinstall the shield just out of principal, it has survive 16 years and over 800, 000 miles, it deserves it's place.

If you have no room for the injector crack seal resin and curing film will fill an inside crack with a few miniuts patience, no injector needed, so get down to the dash if required. They actually seem to fill faster on the inside I have found.
