I think we all understand that a long crack more often than not is a surface crack. So that means you can introduce resin into it. I simply fill 1 1/2 to 2 inches from end, make sure I've pushed all the air out to tip, use my blocker mylar strips, UV light and cure! End of long crack is completly filled and stabilized. I then proceed to treat remaining portion of damage like any other long crack repair.

Do I have many coming back? I'd be lying if I said I haven't had a few but no, not many.

On a surface crack repair you definately don't want air to be pulled back in prior to curing. The use of mylar squares or strips helps prevent that from occuring.

Very interesting. You mention that you do not drill and pop bullseye on cracks. Is there a way or method that you use to fill resin to the tip of cracks?

Starqwest, I apologise, i did not see your earlier post. It is very interesting and surely I am gonna try using this method and see how it works for me.

I'm going to try this method it makes for a nicer looking repair.

Toab I find your remark slightly derogatory. I agree completely most of a long crack is surface, but quite often the last bit is not. This when drilling and popping is a good idea. As you all know or most anyway when you flex a crack you get to see the real extent of the damage or in otherwords the lenght. Yes you can sometimes get to the end without drilling but not always and this is the point. As for cosmetic's if a hole is drilled and filled properly why should it not look good? remember the screen is 2 square metres a one mill drill hole should not be very noticeable. The good thing about this business is each to there own and if it works for you then great.

Screenman..I generally pop my cracks but having a few blow by is causeing me to be open minded about how others do it.I'm new at this game so I am open to see what specificly veterans are doing for long crack repair as these repairs are not widely done in this industry especially by the big companies around my area.
My repair practices are too new to be etched in stone as of yet anyways.
