hi benharrell..thanks for the info on dvelup sander..iwas curious about their sander and looking for it on the internet.....as far as this thread going long...DUH...thats how we learn about products and techniques....obviously from amount of views from recent thread that a lot of guys ae interested and is a good add on business

Hi Mr chip,Just tried a new way to keep from scoring paint while doing H/light repair.I always us blue painters easy release tape I buy Duck brand on Ebay by case at about 2.40 per roll for the wide stuff.I was running low and pulled a cheap roll of 2" silver duct tape out of my truck and ran a strip on top of my normal base of tape.I than ran a run of tape on top .This makes it bullitt proof .If you see silver during sanding you know that you are in the danger zone but still have the duct tape safety barrier.Works great and I will continue to use it as a barrier.

Good idea ben.. i will copy that..by the way one way of cutting down on splatter of residue is to open hood all the way and i put a movers blanket on engine and drape over fender and front ..bunch it up and overspray is next to nothing..
