I am using Glass Technology.

This is how I was trained. Initial curing of the filler resin is from inside the windshield. Yes, curing is not as effective through the PVB. That's why I increased the cure time to 5 minutes. The lamp is of good quality and the bulb is very close to the glass. After the initial curing, I remove the injector and fill/cure the pit from the outside.

Funny thing - I double checked my GT manual and it doesn't say anything about curing from the inside. But that's how they taught me in Durango. Must be their new technique.

The folks in Durango need to reevaluate their trainer. The amount of UV light that passes thru is such that curing from the inside is totally ineffective, cept of coarse you got a lot of time on your hands! :eusa_thin

I have seen some put a mirror inside to get a better look at it and seen some put a light inside to help them see better from outside never heard of curing from the inside makes me wonder if maybe you misunderstood the reason the trainer had a light in there? There is a reason you dont get sunburns in the car the UV that gets in there is almost non existant it takes years to fade the colors of dashes and seats the same material left outside would fade in days

I think Glass Technology train the same over here. It shows a complete lack of the understanding of screen repair at the most basic level. May be they should try a trick we show customers that think that is the way to do it.

Place some pit fill on the out side of the screen with film over make sure you use UV shield if outside, then put your lamp behind the glass and wast half hour, sorry I meant wait. You will then see the results.
