I know this is a really old thread, but I wanted to add an update for anyone who is just starting out or looking for an EDI provider.

We have used GlassComp for a long time, but we are switching to DataTranz. Why? Because GlassComp hasn't moved into the 21st Century! They still mail a paper bill at the end of the month and we have to mail back a paper check. This is really inconvenient for us. DataTranz allows credit/debit card payments. That's why we are switching. We have never had anything but great service from GlassComp and I'm sorry we have to switch. We requested credit card payments months and months ago (or even PayPal). GlassComp sent out a survey a few months back asking who wants credit card billing, but we have not heard anything else about it. So it is time to switch providers.

The EDI cost is virtually the same, but we will save time and money by not processing paper payments. Of all of our vendors, GlassComp is the only one we have to use paper checks for...we don't even HAVE paper checks anymore, so we have to buy a check every time we have to make a payment!

GlassComp: $2.50 per Lynx invoice (+stamps, cost of checks, envelopes)
DataTranz: $2.49 per Lynx invoice

We bill Traveler's, SGC, and Harmon directly for no charge. I sure wish Lynx would get on the stick and set up online processing so we could skip the middle man!

Well, in my opinion, that was a good choice to switch to Data Tranz. I have been with them since the beginning, and they're pretty good. Few issues over the years, but for the most part, well worth it.

Plus the other cool thing with them, is they have a website that you can enter your acct number, and the policy holder info and submit it. NO NEED TO FAX! This takes me about 2 to 3 minutes to process a single transaction.

I have also noticed that if you submit your invoices prior 2pm (I'm central), I usually get confirmation by the end of the day that they were sent out from them!

The other cool thing, is that I get my money in a reasonable amount of time, about 2 weeks or less!
