Guys,

I am not taking sides here but not everything is as it seems on the surface. I am sure this is no different. It is very easy for us all to to be arm chair quaterbacks with our views but this really is none of our business. I am sure both men are more than capable of handleing there issues as they see fit without our mediation. Lets all worry about ourselves and let others worry about themselves when it comes to sensitive and confidential matters.

Brent, I know how you hate to close threads but at this point, I feel there is no substance to be gained at this point as it seems like it is an attempt to spin the situation.

windshieldwiz wrote:I am trying to think this thru (and I realize I am not on TV... ) If I am in the windshield repair business and I am offered a position on the NWRA board.......and I decline it (could never imagine doing that) is that not the same as saying I do not recommend wsr tech to join the NWRA? This is rather confusing for a major player in the wsr business to have no desire to accept a position on NWRA...I feel it would be very beneficial for dk owners to have a dk rep on the board! Whewwwww.

you know, maybe he already has his hands full running delta. i know when i'm done work at night, i dont want to take on other responsibilites. he goes into work, and probably comes home and answering emails at night after work. manning the forums too. hes got enough on his hands. we can say "i would do it if i were him" but you shouldnt say "you should have done it, what were you thinking?" you gotta be fair and let everyone govern their own lives. he has his reasons.

Do you see anywhere in my previous post where I said "he should have done it"???? I just stated it is rather confusing!!!!!!!
Futhermore the jest of my statement is that it would seem like a good idea to have a DK rep on the NWRA>>>Thats it...

If a organization has little or no real value why would one join it or become a board member especially when the current president has proven to be of little integrity? And if you own a company that has been unfairly treated by this same person why would you join a board that would bring you into constant contact with the same guy ?If he had treated me that way I want to smack him every time I saw him. Kind of a no brainer to me

I also recently turned down two similar positions with other organizations recently. I'm not a politician and and already work far more hours than I would like to. Windshield repair is a wonderful business, but for me it is God first, then family, and everything else comes after that. There are only so many hours in the day and we all need to find balance in our lives.

I wish the NWRA the very best but for now have taken a cautious wait and see approach. At present time I am still a member, and I am neither encouraging nor discouraging anyone from joining. It's up to the current leaders of the NGA to give all of you good reasons to join, and it's up to each of you as individuals to make that decision.

Frankly I don't see how this is any big mystery to anyone, or for that matter why everyone seems to be so concerned with who I choose to work with, or choose to distance myself from. Unless money is your sole motivation in life, I'm quite sure you have to make similar decisions based on what you believe is best for your companies.

Unfortunately I have to agree with you Brian, it's time to lock this topic.
