[ "The Green Girl", playing on gender and the green movement at the same time. ]

What is she selling?
If she is not expanding, she has a repeatable name in the area, (Well known by others).

Who is she? Brandie
What does she do? Windshield Repair
What will she do to separate her self from the rest? Give her "Personal touch"

Brandie's Personal Touch Windshield Repair Service

It says it all with class.

Brandie
We have not heard from you. What thoughts do you have on a name? Is there anything that you may have been kicking around?

Yes, Go Daddy sells the *** appeal of Danica Patrick to a worldwide tv audience. We aren't comparing apples to apples here unless Brandy is selling wsr worldwide based on her *** appeal. Some guys would pay for a low quality repair if it was a smoking hot woman in a bikini doing the work. But that's not reality and that minority of guys wouldn't keep a gals wsr repair business afloat. The bottom line is this, whether you call it Brandy's WSR or First Class WSR, u will get one shot with each customer to keep them as a repeat customer. That happy customer will always come back. They will also tell friends, family and co-workers about you. And over time you will see that a very large part of your success will be based on repeat business.

When you think of Keebler Cookies, you automatically think of the elves. "Mr. Clean", "Charlie the tuna", "The Maytag Repairman", are all examples of branding. I'm not in love with, nor hate anything anyone has come up, I was simply trying to illustrate a point.

All the above took years and thousands of dollars of marketing just to get that out there. I do not think a small operation has that kind of money to get his or her name out there . As, lets say " The Green Girl" To me that sounds like the Jolly Green Giants wife of daughter. Is she selling veggies? No she is saving the planet by fixing windshield verses replacing them... Sorry, sarcasm

Even if one does not have there name in the business, what will set them apart from the rest that sounds straight forward. Someone that will give their "Personal touch" to fix your windshield...

WOW, I have an idea for a name. "A personal touch windshield Repair" Would that sound better than "A half a$$ W/S repair service". On that one they can use a donkey for the spokes person... Bother will be in the front part of GLASS, Auto plate, or Glass Repair in the phone book.... Now, who would you call first?

To me it sounds like you worked in the big corporate world selling and marketing things.... Lets look smaller on a budget someone can afford...
Yes, the work quality needs to be up the the name chosen.... If Brandie did put her "Personal touch" on her work, than that is in a name.

She or others are trying to start making money so they can live... All that added marketing can come along later after they have made a reputation for them self and have the money do work with...

By the way, I do not by a product because of the Branding.... I also do not like Keebler cookies either... The cost to much for what you get...

Marketing for someone else and filling them full of $hit just to stand out and marketing for your self is totally different. You know what you do and what will work for yourself....

For 20 yrs I have done all my own adds, flyers and what nots for my marketing. I will come out with 2 or 3 ideas and run them past my customers and get their feed back and see what they would even think, I even take some of their ideas..... For me it works. for others they need to hire someone to think for them to find a way to get their sales up. and now who pays for the marketer. The consumer....

Bottom line, we all have been saying is, if you can not sell your self, it does not mater on the name....

I also love it when a company says they are the best in town, That only comes from their point of view,,,, I like others saying if I am any good or not...Word of mouth is your best and or your worst advertising. Now days the internet is the marketing source. They can leave feedbacks and or rating stars. Now this is your best form of advertising.

This has gotten to far out of line of this post, so I will TRY to stand down.

The Jolly Green Giant's wife or daughter?! I have been making a living in the automotive industry for 35 years, and yes, I have had experience playing in the big sand box. For the past five years though, I have been content to operate as a sole proprietor of my own business. So I have been on both ends of the spectrum as far as budgets are concerned. That's why I recommend running a simple Google search on names, and it wouldn't hurt to check the local Yellow Pages under anything remotely connected to our industry in order to avoid inadvertantly duplicating or getting too close to someone else's name.
I think we can all agree that the quality of workmanship, a person's work ethic, their integrity, their overall professionalism, and their ability to get referrals, are going to be the keys to a successful and longterm business, no matter what the name may be.

WOW guys, this started as a simple recommendation for a business name....how did it progress to this? It really doesn't matter what name she uses, she will still be held accountable like all the rest of us for the service she provides.

I wish her well as I would all of you!
