Chips close to the edge... how? How can you see through when it has rain running down it?
What about reflection or glare that would make it harder to see? The distance it creates between your eyes and the damage could also be a negative.
Or what if you decide you have to drill after you've started a repair? it looks like you would have to remove it and then there would be
no protection for that minute or two.
To me a flexible UV screen makes a lot more sense (and it will fit in a toolbox).
I drill inside the bubble Its no big deal.
I have never used a flexible UV screen.
How do you use it. What is your technique?
Heres what ya do! Go "Sneak" a Large Salad Bowl from the kitchen, carve out an opening and walah! You have yourself a Dome! JK!
All seriousness! Don't let the Price of "Shipping" stop you from having this in your arsenal! Honestly, the dome does work great, I prefer it over the shields, then again I like the shields due to the fact that they can be rolled up and tucked away in your toolbox or where ever you choose. With the Dome it is "Bulky" but that "Bulkiness" that majority of people on here hate so much!
Brings money to my table! The dome is "OverRated" JMHO! in size, however alot of people want to know what the heck that thing is! Even when I'm not using it and at a gas station or somewhere, it never fails someone always asks what is that?
I keep it suctioned to the inside of my passenger windshield or window!
It definately has paid for itself....Literally

I use the UV dome with almost every repair. Its not just handy for when it rains, it can also be used as an alternative to the regular UV shield. If the rock chips are close enough, I can often position the dome to cover both bridges. Also, since the dome is clear, I can see how the repair is progressing without having to lift anything to see under it, like I do with the regular UV screen. Often, I use both the UV dome and the regular screen at the same time if the two chips are far enough apart. In short, the dome and the regular screen are pretty much interchangeable. Definitely a recommended tool and worth the shipping!
Does anyone that uses a GlasWeld injector have one of these? Have always used the flexible shields because that is what comes in the kit and they seem to do what they were intended to. The bubble is intriguing. Just wondering if it has the height to accomodate the GW injector and stand assembly and still allow pulling of vacuum. Looks like it could be challenging to say the least.

We use GW injectors. And indeed we use the Domes. It is a great combination of things, there's plenty of work space, just get one and try it yourself.
