I thought Jerimiahs went broke?

Anyway in Ca, I spend $1500 a month on advertising so I don't have the luxury of charging 30 bucks a repair. If I don't charge at least $49.00
I have no chance of breaking even.

Oregon may be a different market - but at 49 a whack for retail work I'm barely staying above water!!!!

We should all band together and raise our prices.

Besides I don't see price as the issue anyway, Consumer awarness and decent advertising channels is my biggest problem. I guess the guys who say
"You have to pursue fleet accounts" are right. I mostly feel like I'm spinning my wheels on the retail "We Come To You" end.

All breaks are different and all customers are as well some you have to drive a long way to get to and others are on the way to where im going anyway its all relative

GlassStarz,

One of my local accounts is a big strip bar. I give absolutely no discounts to any dancers even if they have big Hoo hoo's. I get full cash price on every repair because they simply have the cash to spend!!! Start thinking with your other brain and make some money;)

Once a thread degrades to "hoo hoo's," time to get locked! ;)

I am brand new to having my own business. I worked for a company in CA for 4 years. There the cash price was $40 minimum with $15 for additional.

Here in Utah where I live now all of the competition is $19.99 to $24.95 for repairs with additional between $5.00 and $10.00. I am trying to figure out how to compete while I am trying to get on the Lynx and Safelite networks. Currently I am still trying to get my first repair scheduled.

Welcome to the windshield repair forum and congratulations on your new business. On the forum you will find a great deal of information in regards to windshield repair and headlight restoration. At times, windshield repair prices can be like gas prices “up and down” but overall the national average for a windshield repair is $55.00. May I ask what kind of windshield repair equipment you are using? With a Delta Kits windshield repair system it cost a dollar or less per repair.

I use a delta single bridge kit I bought in 2001 and used maybe 10 times.

I have a question. I just got a call from a State Farm insured. She wants me to fix her repair tomorrow. I am in the process of jumping through the Lynx hoops. Will State Farm pay me out of network?

Yes. Just submit it to the agent listed on the insurance card.

Really????

I was told, that the agents reject all glass claims unless they go through Lynx. Ok, I will give it a shot.

How did you decide those were the current prices in your area?
