Okay..
I'm anxious to get started but I'm still gettin ready to get ready and have alot of questions.
I've noticed that Delta has eight different types of drill bits (and the best prices)....
What is the most versatile or best bit to be using and why would I use different kinds of burrs?
I've found this is the best forum and appreciate all the feedback.

The reason for the variety is realy personal preference why do i drive a mercedes instead of a volvo?or why do I prefer brunettes over Blondes? Im sure you will find someone who swears by one but again whatever works for you.

[quote]Drilling & Burs
When do I drill? Which bur should I use? Are carbide burs really better than diamond burs? What really happened to Elvis? Those are four widely debated topics that we here at Delta Kits happen to know quite a bit about. By the end of this article, I hope to have cleared up any confusion still out there regarding any of these subjects.

I love the tapered bits. They seem to bite into the glass better and obviously leave a much smaller hole after drilling. This in turn looks better when the repair is complete, but. I use the rounded burrs (FG2) more often. Not because it's easier to control, but because the only drill bit I have ever broken off in a repair was a tapered bit! I admit, I was drilling at low speed. That could have been the culprit. It just bound up in the glass and SNAP! The tapered seem much more prone to break and this is why I stay with the rounded bits.
