I have a hard time seeing the repair while using the amber colored UV shield. Do any of the rest of you have problems like that? I recently switched to use Glass mechanix bubble, but I like the flexibility of the amber shield better! I wish there was a happy medium!

I just made a holder for a unbrella.I had glass medcanic brigde I was not useing {got 3 and 1delta so did not need one ] so I took a flag pole holder and JB Weld it to it, and got a unbrella that had a staight handle. And it works great with the pump sucking it down to the glass it realy holds.

Fastbreak, I was able to get a clear UV screen from Liquid Resin, even though they no longer showed it in their catelog. Perhaps they still have some available. It's worth calling them to ask anyway.

Fasbreak, I too use the UV Bubble shield from GM. I personally love using it. I position the shield so that the side opening is on my working side. This way I can gain access easily to my injector and perform the vacuum and pressure cycles with ease. If the sun happens to be in a position where it might reflect through the side opening, I will place my UV protective wrap over the opening to shade out any unwanted UV light. Once I have finished with my injector, I will use the bubble shield to cover it up while I am finishing my Pit filling. This way the UV light will not set up the resin in or around my injector until I can clean it up.

The only time I use a uv shield is to do crack repairs other than that all I do is use a towel dark blue if that makes a difference. I wrap it around the bridge sometimes on those windy days I will use the back screw down legs to hold it down I just lift it to inspect the repair works great and a heck of a lot cheaper.
Happy Repairing
