Yesterday I went into a fairly large real estate office after walking the lot and finding 10 of the 15 cars had chips the receptionist wasnt real receptive to my questions (it is her job to weed out the nuts) So I asked her which car was hers turns out hers was one with a chip offered to fix hers free if she would help me identify who owned the others with her help 8 out of the 9 let me do the repair I guess it pays to be nice to the lady at the desk

Way to go!

One of the perks of owning/operating one's own business is having the ability/authority to adjust pricing and offer promos at will.

I would probably bet that within a day or two, #9 will be giving you a calll)!

Nice job!

A lot of people would have walked away from the 8 repairs just so they didn't have to give one away for free.

Like Dave said, it's great to be able to think on your feet, adjust your pitch to suit the circumstances.

You've gotta sell the secretary before you even get a chance to sell the boss. I know the term secretary is outdated(administrative assistant or some other crummy title). That's the first rule of making cold calls. Considering the amoutn of business you pulled, it wasn't free. She just was able to have the rest of the office pay for hers. Nice job on getting that sale.

Very nice sale! I remember once I went into a place to find out about doing their fleet and instead of getting the fleet account (they made beds for semi trucks and had no fleet) I ended up doing 5 peoples cars on insurance :)

Those are fun sales!
