Get a partner !!!

As I stated in my previous post I believe having a w/s replacement shop as a partner/friend is extrmely helpful. We have all gone to the home where the the person has called and said " I have about a 3" crack" and when you arrive the crack goes 1/2 way across the w/s. When you tell them it probably needs replacing; they will ask "do you replace" and when you say "no" they will ask , who do you reccommend?
About 10 years ago I went to the biggest advertising glass shop in my town and asked them if they did rockchip repairs and they said no. I asked them...how about when people call for them you refer them to me and I'll do the same for you. They agreed. Much of my business (25%) comes from them. It's amazing, our names are right next to each other in the book and they will still call him for a rock chip repair. Another thing we do is... I don't like messing w/ insurance co's. I don't like waiting 4 weeks for my $, giving $7.50 to process it, faxes etc ... Its a hastle. So... I have 2 replacement shops that are on w/ the insurance co.'s. When they get a chip repair they call me and I go and do it as if I work for the replacment shop. They(shop) pay me $40 when I give them the receipt. The way they figure it is ... they better serve the insurance co's and every once in a while it's unrepairable and they get a replacment out of it.
It has worked wonderfull for me and you are going to send them somewhere,
you might as well get something out of it.
