AAA stopped paying for chip repair in NM

I dont have many clients with triple A insurance... so I just learned yesterday that they stopped paying for chip repair in NM in Ocober. What's happening with triple A in other states ?

That's strange. What were they paying for repair before they stopped?
Here in Michigan they are the highest at $75/12.50/12.50/12.50. Bill them direct too!

They didnt have a set rate... they paid whatever I billed them for ... $50/10/10.

I know several states have dropped WSR service. AAA in California has dropped it and a couple others around me. I am in Oregon and they still cover chips but I think that is a short lived status judging by the attrition in other states.

Just curious? Has anybody confronted AAA in their area and asked why they are stopping WSR services? Doesn't make sense to me unless they contracted repair out to some major glass replacement network! AAA in Michigan hasn't mentioned anything about lowering prices or stopping repairs so far.
