Need Opinion on Tool Kit Please

I have recently been given the opportunity to buy a Glass Mechanix
GM1000T Repair kit at a substantial discount (website offers kit for $2997)
I am posting this in hopes to keep your opinion on this kit.
Is this a pretty good kit? Do any of you use it? Is it user friendly? Does the buffer set help with sales?
Please reply a.s.a.p for this opportunity will not last for me.
I really appreciate any input anyone would be willing to share.
Thank you,
Chris

Chris,

The $2997 includes factory training, round trip air far and hotel stay. If your just buying the GM1000 kit you better do some more calculating before you purchase. Why don't you just tell us what the $ amount is so we can let you know if it's a good deal or not?

I use the gm 1000 kit and find it to do quality repairs. The buffing system that comes with it has never been used in my kit, and probably never will. Even though this system does quality repairs I am still looking to view and hopefully upgrade my equipment at the mobile tech expo to delta's equipment. The equpiment I purchased brand new on ebay for $500.00. If your getting it for much more then that I would pass and invest in delta

Sorry, you are right.
The website states you get the training, hotel, airfare and transportation.
I am being offered the entire kit (minus training, airfare, hotel, tranportation)
for $600.
I am just shopping right now, want to know if this is a quality kit.
I am also considering the purchase of the WRS Double Windshield Kit at
http://www.WindshieldRepairSupply.com for $600.
It doesn't come with all the supplies of the GMT1000 kit, like the glass etching or the buffer tools, but I am looking for quality over quantity.
Thank you for you thoughts

In my area the vin etching is offered by the local police dept. So there really isn't a big demand for it . And as for the buffing goes I can complete 1or 2 repairs in the time it takes to polish out a scratch with better results. Focus more on your repair equipment if thats going to be your trade .

thank you,
But look, I am already in the business.
I have been for several months. I use an off-brand kit my old boss gave to me.
I am on my own and don't have the experience with some of the other kits.
I know about delta and I know about the other kits, what i know is limited to what the website tells me. I need real world experienced opinions, not what the website selling the kit tells me. Unfortunetly I can't afford 1k or above. I posted because I would like the opinion on the 2 kits I described. The only reason I brought up the buffing tool was because it came with that perticular kit. I am just asking which kit would be better and if anyone has used these 2 kits and if so what is their take on them.
Thank you,

The GM kit is a good one, the price is right too. I use GM and Delta both excellent choices for repairs. My preference is GM for trucks and then I use the Delta for cars, would also say head to head the Delta gives me a better looking repair.

I haven't used either kit. I have used a sample of the wrs resin and it's not bad. I would be wary of their kit though as the company hasn't been around long. The tools don't look bad, the bridge is basically a copy of delta's with a screw type injector on it.

Now that I have looked at the website you listed I can say buy from an established company. That is the best way I can express my opinion without being negative, have used that injector and was not impressed.
