Does anyone here just bill the customer and let them deal with the insurence themselves? I know they pay out to the costomer alot quicker than they do the repairer, just my experience from dealing with them doing bodyshop repairs.

The problem with billing the customer is that you would have to ask them to pay you up-front and then get reimbursed by the ins.co. In many cases this could be $50.00 or more. Most people don't like being approached to put out that kind of money and then having to proceed with the hassle of submitting paperwork to their insurance companies and waiting for their money. If you get set up properly you can handle the entire claim process for the customer with a 3 min. phone call get verification and approval via fax and have your money usually in less than 10 working days. All the customer has to do is get on the phone with you to authorize the repair and then sign your invoice. Bob
